Another Way Around Blog

Been a wee while from i had an update on here regarding the auld cb 400 four that i bought way back in january that ian and me went up to mallaig to collect thanks to big allan douglas.. The bike had lay mainly outside for the last 15 years of its life and had taken its toll on everything . Heres a couple of what it looked like back in january

Pretty fecked it was, everything was about shot, ian set about the rebuild on the engine which has came out a corker and sounds well sweet.. All the chrome has been re done as has the paint back to the original 1975 colour..

So thats that wan about done ,,now for the next wan. A massive thanks to ian for the engine rebuild and to big max and nick for all the help,, i will shout ye a few beers at the squirel in september fellas

What a great day yesterday it was down in kelso. The rest of the guys went down friday night and by the looks of them they had a great time.. I picked up jenn pretty early on billy beemer and it was dry at least. Great run down and we just hit the toon centre when we were met by the likely lads heading in for breakfast, little rough looking roon the edges but thats to be expected. Found a great hotel and they served a bang on breakfast .. So it was back on down the show and get the bike parked up with the other twa thousand .

Yep my avid little reades we have anither reader our their in the land doon under. Good to hear from you jimmy AKA sweetex and i hope you and the family are keeping well. Its a long story but i will tell ya all in a short, susan used to play badminton and i mean every feckin weekend and because i wis the weeist i got dragged along awh the time, meadowbank, galashields to name a few. Any hooo jimmy and susan were in the scottitsh team and became really good pals as did were folks. Jimmys ma annie made the best boiled egg peeeces yuv ever tasted and that was the best thing aboot badminton for me. Nae doot they will post something about it but they still coulndny beat annies peecees.

Well folks this weather at the mo here in sunny scotland is well and truly barmy, i was through at budgies today and my thermo on billy beemer was reading 31 c, feck it was warm especially with leathers on. I dont mind the heat but feck it was warm the day, even the breeze on the bike was warm.

The amount of fuds i saw today on bikes with tee shirts and shorts was pure mental by the way, obviously huvnae came aff afore, they hit the black stuff dressed like that and they will need tae pressure hose their skin aff, no wonder the police are trying to make it law that all bikers should be wearing protective gear no matter what the weather is and i agree fully on that wan,,,

Was through at north berwick tonight and it was great, i love it through there and the road from aberlady to gullane to north berwick is a cracker on the bike, it was still that bloody hot that jenn and me were trying to get an ice cream cone oot the chippie but the guy that was runnin the place was havin a siezure as they were stoowed oot the door, ten minutes we wur staunin there waitin for a 99 cone, christ i wis slabbering at the mooth, tae hell with this a said, no more . Why dae folk buy these places if they cannae run them right, …

As ye all probably know a few of us were away tae see the AC/DC the other night and they were really good, my only fault on the whole night was the sound quality. I have been at hampden afore, Eagles , Bon Jovi etc and the place is just shite for gigs, sharely theres a better venue than that toilet they call the national stadium, saying that the team the play there are shite tae. Anyways back to the gig. I was the taxi for the evening so i went down and picked up doctor death in linlithgow then through to larbert for wee brian. Through the road for the budgie and christ i think he hud been on the trill as he did nae shut up aw the wi tae glesga. We parked up in sunny rutherglen and decided to walk doon tae the national toilet. Well feck me it was like walkin in the feckin ghobi desert apart frae the neds walkin aboot wi shell suits on and bottles O buckie, why dae these wee anti social fuck wits always wear burbery caps and huv their socks oor their shell suits????? and everthing ends in MAN,,, Awrite man, Fck aff man, im gonna doo you man.. .

So we survived the neds but the heat was becoming a tad O a problem, ye ken when its that hot ye start tae pul yer jeans oot yer erse, its just no nice. Well oor oasis came in the form O a very big Asda ,, ye haaaaar. The other three lads wur thinkin beer so offskee we went. I was starvin so i bought my self a very big roastet chicken and i will tell ye whit it wis finggger licken gid sitting out in the carpark, followed by an asda special chocolate mousse, very tasty i hastily add.. The rest of them were scooping beer back while i was eating my gourmet dinner wae a plastic fork and knife, i now know whit a down and out jaykee must feel like..

Over the road to Hampden and as you can imagine the place wis packed tae the gunnells foo of crazy acca dacca fandangos. The first port of call, yep ya probably guessed it the bar. Budgie and brian were scooping it back for fun and the best place for us ti staun wis at the exit stairs on a landing. Well we were standing there drinking a while, i was on innocent smoothie from asda i kid you not, when these twa lesbos apeared from the bar and buy christ they were ugly, they must huv fell oot the ugly tree and hit every feckin branch on the way doon, budgie then starts on about the female lookin wan saying she looked no bad, defo hud too many sherberts there pal…

Finally it was time for the main event,, wee angus hits the stage wae his school uniform on as usual, im surprised he still gets away with that in ooor politically correct society we live in these days but gid on ye angus and stick it right up em..
