Hi Jimbo, On the World Cup! My view is have a look at the facts! Us Scots could not reach the final stages at any time with a few brief jollies to the final some years back!Germany 74 - 5* Willie Ormand Squad,Argintina 78 - Ally Mc Leod the comedian(Well he was!)-Spain and Mexico - Jock Stein, Alex Ferguson and Andy Roxburgh! When you look at some of the so called Europe good team like the Handy French and the Pasta Italians - Both on the Easy Jet Home! Then the Scots are not far back than we think!
Having a go at previous World Cup winners is a little like throwing the toys out the “Bike Panniers".
Still it’s the Kelso Bash in a few weeks and hope to see you there.
It be good to support the British team as we have no team in South Africa!
I’m a believer in the best team / indivdual with the ability should win and been a model with their conduct so that kids look up too! Over and Out! Kevzzzzr
Hey ZZZZZRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ,, hope all is well and your doing ok.. Dont worry about my previous post bud,, it aint the england fitba team im on about or have a problem with its the media hype,, even the bloody adverts .. As for scotland i dont think they will get to the last 16 in a long time .. ,,

As a lot of you out there will know a bunch of us have just returned from a fantastic walk from the start in Milngavie in Glasgow to the end in Fort William other wise known as the west highland way..
Most of us met through at onkle Fish s place on the friday and what a fantastic day weather wise it was
.. Myself, Ian and Jim Pender picked up the van from GM flooring in linlithgow so it was up to beecraigs to pick up all the pre cooked food and beer .. Through to haddington to get the bags and meet some of the walkers ,, There was Derick Hughes, Nick Jefferson and bella the dug (MASCOT) ,, Dug Hacket,, John Davidson,, Jo Vincent,Helen Donohoe, Dirk Pagelow, Christoff ??,, Big John and course Fish.. These guys were catching the train through to glasgow then over to the camp site at Milngavie where we were met by Iain Allan, Sue Arber, Blair Pender and Jamie Symington.. Van unloaded, tents up and barbque on it was all go,, all the beer we had on the van was drunk that night
but good..

Day four was an easier day as it was over to tyndrum,,12 miles in all and yes the weather was still great and the scenery was getting better and better ..
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk060.jpg

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk066.jpg
Tyndrum was a hoot that night as we hit paddys bar and yet again most of us were on the sauce and they even had marillion tunes on the duke box just to annoy oncle fish
Day five was started with a large breakfast at the hotel in tyndrum and it was just what the doc had ordered,, £5 for as much as you could eat
,, braw!!!
Defo needed a breakfast like that as it was a 19 miler today and it was a tough one but again the surroundings were awesome and the weather was still dry.. Over to the bridge of orchy where we met dug taking pics
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk067.jpg

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk073.jpg
Then it was over the hill to the inveroran hotel for a pint of crabbies,, what a drink for quenching your thirst,, if you have nt tried it get on it and make sure ya get it with ice..
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk078.jpg
From here it was a long slog up onto the drovers road and up and over rannoch moor,, it was now starting to get really cold as usual up there but ye haar it was still dry..
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk074.jpg

So we all eventually made it to the kingshouse Hotel and yet aagin there was a beer in there somewhere but well deserved .. Budgie and sue had the job of ferrying us all down to the red squirel campsite and lifesavers they were as at this point i think a lot of the folks were starting to tire and feet begining to hurt
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk084.jpg river coe
Day six was a damp start but spirits high as every otherday ,, we were joined by Dave Barras and bear the dug from here so dave helped sue and ian ferry us all back up to the kingshouse to where we left the day before..
Today was a 9 miler , up and over the devils stair case and it was lovely at this point as it had dried up

The weather if you dont know changes in a whim up here and it did,, down it came and the temperature dropped rapidly but it certainly did nt hamper us crackin on down in to kinlochleven,, hardcore![]()

Day seven was a long haul to the finishing line in fort william and by now a few in the groups feet were playing havoc,, blister city.. 16 miles to go and we were home and dry
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk099.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk101.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y65/t9frs/the%20walk/thewalk102.jpg the end
The last night was spent at the lochy camp site in fort william and most of us were really knackered as it was a long haul,, late nights and drink are a major problem with us lot ya see but we would nt have changed it for anything..
What a fantastic group of people that came forward for this challenge and it was a pleasure to walk and spend time with ya all week and look forward to meeting up with ya all definately in the future ,, i shall remember this for the rest of my life..
As for our totals raised for the charities i should hopefully have them by mid next week so keep your eyes peeled on what we have raised as a group..
Im gonna stop for now as im kinda tired and im on all weekend so for now i will be seeing ya
Daveedoff![]()
